eRail Sort on Rail Sorting System

Kannegiesser ETECH designed the original Sort-On-Rail system more than 25 years ago. Today our Sort-On-Rail system is the ultimate solution in sorting. This system is designed to provide the most efficient and accurate sort arrangements. By using gravity, the Sort-On-Rail system allows operators to sort directly into slings that are on the eRail Monorail system. This creates an efficient, automatic streamline of class, weight, and segmented laundry that is optimized and prepared to go to the washers.

Operator sorting windows are designed for maximum efficiency. Utilizing vertical sort windows, the Sort-On-Rail System minimizes incorrect sorting. Our Sort-On-Rail system windows and chutes are made from stainless steel to retain their bright, professional appearance without staining, cracking, or yellowing. Each station works independently and can be customized to fit the volume requirements of your facility. With the added metrics display option, facilities can provide details to operators on sling transitions, load details, and sorting instructions.

The Sort-On-Rail is designed with innovative features to optimize your production:

Continuous

This double-door, stainless steel hopper holds sorted linen while the sling is being exchanged. The top door helps prevent linen “hang-ups” and protects linen from sling transfer or dropping to the floor. This option is ideal for high-volume facilities where continuous sorting is required. The continuous buffer chute holds approximately 100 – 200 lbs. Operators can sort without interruption.

Buffer Hopper

This single-door, medium-sized, stainless steel, hopper holds sorted linen while the sling is being exchanged. It is ideal for high volume facilities. The buffer chute holds approximately 30 – 50 lbs. during sling change out so sorters can continue to sort.

Bufflector

When closed, this stainless steel deflector creates a small ledge to hold the sorted linen while the sling is being exchanged. The Bufflector hopper will hold approximately 5 – 15 lbs. of linen during sling change out so sorters can continue to sort.

Deflector

A stainless steel deflector added onto the back of the sort window creates a guide for linen that is tossed directly into the sling minimizing spillage.
